Homemaker of the Year

Hello
As you all know by now, I have nothing to do with my days so I have a LOT of spare time. Sooo I have taken up cooking and cleaning as my two hobbies (Sad I know, but sadly true). Anyways today I cooked chicken and dumplings from scratch! Well the chicken wasn't from scratch since I live in the city and their aren't any stray chickens running around, but made it all. It was amazing might I add. Everything tasted like it should, and the flour, baking soda, salt and butter actually turned into dumplings just like the recipe said it would. Anyways you should all be very impressed b/c well I'm amazing. :) Not only did I cook chicken and dumplings tonight, a few nights ago I cooked fish tacos, which is amazing. Yea I know it kinda sounds disgusting but once you try it you will love it, very good. Thanks to Ali who introduced me to them, and now I cook them at home. I have also cooked many other original dishes lately but I won't bore you with them all. I just thought you should all be proud of me that I can actually cook, I know a few of you never thought that would happen as you were with me growing up and I showed absolutly no interest in the idea. Anyways this is a very boring post. New topic..... Friday night Kevin and I and our friend Brent and Rich went to Niagara Falls for the night. More were suppose to come but they dropped out, but no big loss as it was perfect as the four of us went. We had a great time. Left afroudn 7:30 friday night from TO and then got to our hotel in Niagara falls and stayed at the Courtyard Marriott which has the biggest rooms I have ever seen in a hotel. Each room has two queens beds and literally enought room to comfortably fit 2 more queen beds in and a huge bathroom. Anyways we then went out for a great dinner and very humerous dinner where I thought we might get kicked out solely based on us laughing so loudly from our own conversations. We then hit the new casino. I quickly (as usual) lost my money as fast as possible while the other three made a bit of profit, but of course by the end of the night that profit was lost. It was all good as it was fun. We then went to the midway on Clifton Hill for drinks and games (like a small dave and busters). THe place was packed with underage kids from Buffalo solely there for the legal drinking age. Anyways we played more games, bowling, golf, trivia, air hockey, etc..... then after a long night ended up of course at a fastfood joint eating eventhough we weren't hungry but the alcohol tricks you like that. Then we took literally a 30 sec cab ride home (we were to lazy to walk) the cabbie didn't seem to like that. OH well. Then off to bed till the morning. We then went denny's for the denny's hangover as Kevin likes to call it (all the grease in the morning makes you feel like you have a hangover...or something like that).... Then we went back to Clifton hill for some cheezy tourist crap. But we did go into this human maze and raced eachother to see who could find all the towers you were suupose to find and get out the fastest. I am proud to say I got out the fastest in 9 minutes. SUckers! Then we went to brick city which is just a mini lego land and then the gennuis book of world records museum. After all that we were exhausted and decided to drive back to the city. I slept most of the afternoon and night away which was fine by me. Sunday Kevin gave me my list bit of my birthday gift....he got a picture of us from newfoundland enlarged and framed to hang in our bedroom. Its a great gift, the pic is so big now and i have been complaining we have nothing on our walls in the bedroom for a long time now so its really nice. We also went ice skating yesterday at the outdoor rink that is across the street where we live. Very nice, I love this location. Okay well now I have summed up my weekend, I'm sure you are all so happy now that you know what i have been doing (actually you probably dont care but oh well I felt like typing)
ok... im done
g'night

My Bday Weekend

Well my bday weekend is coming to an end, so I thought I would post a few pics.
First is a pic from Friday night when a small group of us went out for drinks at my favourite bar Madisons (its two old Victorian Houses that have been joined together to create a bar, each room in the house has its own bar and atmosphere). There is a piano bar, a sports bar, and room for live bands, a patio, etc...) On Saturday my birthday started with Kevin serving me french toast, sausage, and OJ for breakfast, then he told me to decide on what I wanted to do for the day so I decided we should go out and play mini golf and a movie.... so thats what we did. We tied at mini-golf and then went and saw The Departed. Its a great movie.... and not just because my old love Leo is in the movie. After the movie we went to Best Buy so Kevin could go buy the new Foo Fighters live cd for me... we had been slackers and hadnt bought it yet.... Anyways when we got there we were both reading the back of the cd case to see what songs were on it, and at the same time we both yelled out FEBRUARY STARS... and for all of you who follow Kevin and I's relationship closely you will know what that means to us (i.e. MOM) for the rest of you February Stars is such a big deal because that is what Kevin and I were talking about the first time we talked to eachother, and its both our favourite song and Dave NEVER plays the song. Its probably the first time he has played it since 97-98, and we have always wanted to hear Dave sing the song live. And to make things even better it is song number 11 on the cd. Of course my lucky number. Anyways we paid for the cd and ran to the car to listen to the song, then we drove to my favourite restaurant Latina's for dinner. I think most of you who have visited me in Toronto have been to this restaurant as it is usually where we take visitors. Our waiter as usual knew what we wanted and didn't take our order just started bring the food. It was nice. Sadly at the end of dinner I was starting to get a terrible headache, it hurt so bad I couldnt really concentrate or talk so Kevin and I called it an early night and we came home. I layed down for an hour or two trying to get my neck and head to feel better (when my head hurts is makes my neck hurt and vice versa), after that Kevin came in and I was a little loopy so I just started telling him a story about Once upon a time a girl met a boy and they fell in love and lived happily ever after and as soon as I said that Kevin ran out of the room. I was like freak is wasn't that bad of story and to my credit I was a bit out of it so he shouldnt have run out of the room like that, but he then appeared again a few seconds later.... WARNING GIRLY SAPPY PART... he came in and gave me my bday card and when I opened it was a little girls card about once upon a time a girl was born....and ever since people around her lived happily ever after....so the card turned out to be exactly what I was talking about right before I got it, so it was very fitting. Then sadly we fell asleep at like 9:30 because I was still filling sick, but its all good because I had a great day! And next weekend I found out that all of Kevin's friends are going to Niagara Falls on Friday night to celebrate my bday all together and just go out and have fun (since we rarely ever all get together anymore) and then Saturday they are going back to Toronto and Kevin and I are going to stay another night so should be great. I'm excited. Anyways here are a few pics. and THANKS for all my bday wishes!!! Wish I could had been at Kai's baptism to see everyone but I will see you all at Christmas.

Grrr. okay I lied about the pics. I keep uploading them onto here but they never show up after I click done. Stupid blogger

Hello

Well since no one else is updating their blog, I thought I might as well. I don't have much to say as I am unemployed with no car and no life, but Ill try and think of something. I went to yet another Foo Fighter concert on Tuesday night. They opened for Bob Dylan. They, as usual, were amazing. Really a great acoustic set. They came out with a live acoustic cd the same day, but I have ashamedly not picked up yet. I'm just to busy being lazy on my couch. But if you are looking for good music, go pick it up! For the Dylan part of the concert, well I have to admit, I'm not a big fan. He was very boring, hid behind his keyboard the whole night, and didn't even say hi to the audience until the last song.... I know he's a bit old fashion but would it have hurt to have a big screen tv on the side of the stage so the people far away could actually see him. Oh well. We had great seats, front row on the side of the arena (not front row floor). Had a great time with Kevin, his cousin, and his cousins old roommate..... Let's see what else??? My birthday is this Saturday, nothing that I know if is planned. Kevin only gets one day weekend this weekend but at least he gets that day off, so I'm sure we will do something fun. All of you family people will be in KC celebrating someone else's life, but its okay I'm not bitter, only because that little guy is so damn cute. The little bugger! I tried to convince Kevin into letting me get a puppy for my birthdya so I could get some attention back on me when I came down for Christmas, but it was to no avail, as Kevin is smart and realizes this little apartment is no place for a dog. :( But It would still be so nice to have the company. Ohhhh, finally itunes has downloaded last nights episode of Lost, it onmly took 5 hours, stupid slow internet. I'm off to watch Lost. Later! and people UPDATE I"M BORED
