Okay, I just purchased my tickets for Missouri which ive been saying I was going to buy for a long time. I'm flying into KC Oct 9th at night, then I guess on the 10th I will take a bus to Columbia, on the 11th I will head out with Papa, Bruce, Mom and Arthur to Mount Rushmore, stay there for a couple of days?? and then arrive back to Columbia, then I will take a bus back to KC and stay there until the 23rd, so I will have about a week with the como people and then a week with kc people. Okay thats all.

Its a good day for mail

After getting my email from my supervisor this morning, i went and checked the real mail and I got a letter from citizenship and immigration canada saying.......
We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in Scarborough will contact you concerning your permanent resident status. ....They are also giving me a 500 dollar refund for some reason, so thats great!
And on the job hunt I found a job at the Phoenix zoo working with primates that I think I qualify so I mgiht apply eventhough it is in phoenix. We will see.

Well after moving around everything like my superviser asked in his comments of my first draft I finished a second draft and sent it to him yesterday. This morning I happily awoke to an email from him stating below
Dear Leslie, Thanks for this - you have done a lot. I have read through the new draft and it all seems quite clear. Are you happy with the changes? If not then you are free to do what you think best. It is still helpful to have someone else read it through and draw to your attention any lack of clarity or mistakes that they spot. It is almost impossible to proof read too many times! The more people who help the better. I notice some other small grammatical errors but I am sure you will pick up on these. You are ahead of most others. Very best wishes from Oxford, Simon
So yea!!! My email after my first draft was 2 pages long filled with things he wanted me to change in the body of the text, now he says its all good just have to work on the grammar. So I'm a very happy girl today. Now I just have to find a job...okay not so happy anymore

A Much Needed Breat

I'm popping anti-depression pills like they are candy, b/c this thesis is starting to get rather (or whether - I never know as bruce and mom probably realize by now) depressing. I have 11 days left before it is due. I might have less time then than actually b/c I dont know if it has to be there by the 22nd or just postmarked by the 22nd. I finally got comments back from my supervisor today. OVerall he doesnt hate it, but I jsut have to move info around to different sections and whatnot and be more succinct. What else. I finally got my fingerprints in the mail today from the FBI, so I can finally start the last end of my permanent residence application for Canada. Should only take another month or now to get it I think. Quite annoying the FBI took 2months longer then they said they were going to to get my fingerprints back to me, and all they did was send me the same documents I sent them but with just one stamp sayng No Arrests - Sept. 5th............. Sept 5th??? I turned it in in May and they just stamped it a week ago and sent it to me. What were they doing all summer long.... okay I'm sure the FBI has a lot more important things then checking my fingerprints but still, come on! This weekend I went to a Canadian Football Game. Its a bit differetn then the NFL and not nearly as good or as popular of course. But it was still fun. The quarterback for Toronto is Damon Allen which is Marcus Allen's brother and Damon Allen just broke the Pro Football League record for most passing yards. THey had a big celebration for him when we were there and Marcus Allen came and gave a speech. So that was cool to see my favourite living football player (by total accident). Not much else happened this weekend, if did I dont remember. Kevin and I's friend saw Brad Pitt and Matt Damon yesterday in Toronto, as it is the Toronto International Film Festival so there is celebrities everywhere. But I have not seen one. All these years I have yet to run into a celebrity in Toronto, and you think I would b/c if a celebrity has to come to Canada they come to Toronto. Okay now I'm just rambling so I dont have to go back to my paper. Might be coming home for the first week or two weeks in October. Will probably decide tonight.
I have some funny pics to post but they are on the cell phone which kevin has at work so I will have to post them some other time, but one of them is a pic of an ad that is down the street from my place. Its an ad about a store that sells books on tape... and it says something like..... "Can't Read" "Get a book on tape" and then it has a picture of George Bush. Its funny. Okay Im done now.

PERCOCET

I have it again my friends, its great. I took one about 30 minutes ago for a headache and shoulder pain, but sadly it dosnt work anymore but for some reason it still makes me happy to know its flowing through my blood stream or whatever it flows through. If you are wondering where I got it, Kevin's lovely new dentist that he saw last night gave him 12! He said he only needed to take one total but he figured he would like the extra, what a smart doctor!! I know I found myself a new dentist! Okay, just to calm you out there, no I'm not a druggie. But whoever reads this let Papa know Kevin is getting all his teeth fixed or at least the ones that look bad. He got another root canal (about his fifth one or something) last night, and tuesday night he gets his three front teeth fixed. Hes going to look so prettttyyyy. :) Alright well I hope the weather is better there than here, we are getting the end of ernesto. My labour day looks like it will be spent inside. So hope you guys have a nice labor day. If you are lucky maybe I will give you lot all a call. :)
